PROJECT TEAM

Richard Reisenberger

CONCEPT
The idea behind Flame is to develop customized furniture at a low price. Every piece is unique,  developed together with the client and build in a day. The furniture are made out of spruce with a rough-saw finish in standard sizes known from construction sites where it is used as posts and planks. For a smooth and water-resistent finish the furniture get burned at the end. Flame is an experiment in the field of low-tech mass customization.

CONCEPT
The design of the Tetris Leftovers came up while producing the Tetris Shelf. In every production process you get material leftovers. The leftovers of the Tetris Shelf were used to develop a new furniture used as a book shelf, couch table or seat. Different graphic designers were asked to design covers for the single cubes and by stacking them onto each other the graphical tower is generated.

STUDIO COUCH, Vienna, 2009
Design and production of a studio couch made out of two slatted frames.

PROJECT TEAM
Wolfgang List
Richard Reisenberger

CONCEPT
The first prototype of the Divany Studio Couch was developed by Richard Reisenberger and later the design was finalized in collaboration with Wolfgang List. At that time there was a little contest going on: „Who can develop more beds out of one couch!“. The result was to use two slatted frames as base of the couch and two regular mattresses as cushion. So it is very easy to transform the couch into two regular beds.
