Design and realisation of an Indian restaurant in the 6th district of Vienna.
CONCEPT
The goal was to transform a run-down Viennese pub into a modern Indian restaurant. The concept was to create a minimal and colorfull design with a mixture of old and new materials. The wooden floor and the tiles in the toilets were replaced from a demolitioned house in Vienna to the new restaurant. Tables and benches were built and flamed by the Divany team. The chairs are a variety of secondhand Viennese coffee-house furniture. The heart of the restaurant is a bar made out of old cupboards. Even the lights were designed and built by the Divany crew. The final product is a mixture of Viennese and Indian culture.
